Summary of class lectures

Each class will include a short walkthrough or presentation on how-to-use the tools to accomplish the tasks for the week.
Time will be available each week to work on your movie as it progresses.

Week of April 16

Digital Storytelling
The last part of this semester will be devoted to digital storytelling. Your final project will be a 3 to 5 minute digital movie incorporating still images (webfound, scanned, or created in Photoshop), a scripted voiceover to be recorded as part of the soundtrack along with music, you may choose.

Week of April 23

Writing & Recording your script
There are several steps to creating a good movie which we will cover in class. First and foremost, you will want to start with a strong foundation: your script. You can brainstorm on this outside of class and create a storyboard that matches up your script with your intended images. Once it has been approved, you will be using SoundEdit to record your 'reading' of your finished script.

Week of April 30

File management
Preparing and organizing your files and resources is essential. You will be preparing, cropping, resizing and saving your images in Photoshop. You will be using Premiere to assemble and edit your prepared images and sound clips. Class time will be spent reviewing your Photoshop skills and setting up the folder structure for your Movie project. Backing up your work.
