1. Creating a link to credit original artists' work you may have appropriated

If you are unable to contact and get permission for use from the artist by email, you must still give proper credit to the original artist and create a link to their original work on the web if you appropriate their artwork or photographs for your webpage.

• In Dreamweaver, select the image or your credit line text on your webpage.

• On the Properties palette in the Link field, type the address of the webpage where you acquired someone else's images for your web page.
The address should begin with [http://www. ] in order to become a clickable link.

2. Using digital photos or scanning your photographs or drawings

You can use the scanner or arrange to have digital photos taken during class or by appointment

• Images will be saved to the new 'Fresh' folder on Yorba.

• Prepare your acquired images in Photoshop

Crop and resize to 240 x 180 pixels

Save a copy… as a .jpeg or .gif

Place all images for your web page in the same ƒolder as your .html document, then place them on your webpage from within Dreamweaver. Use the Insert Image button on the Objects palette.

3. Final Web Page Tweak Checklist

Webpage is titled and saved as [lastnamexx.html] in a folder named [lastnamexx], all lowercase

Disguise your photographic portrait in Photoshop

Both tables: Border = 0, Width = 100 percent (NOT pixels), Cell spacing and padding = 5

Visual Balance: Consider the balance of your image with the size of the text in your biography. Give the same consideration to your tutorial.

All images, portrait and tutorial are saved as .jpeg and in the same folder as your .html page

All links lead to the webpage or website you intended

Spell Check!!!
Choose Check spelling… from the Text menu in Dreamweaver

When you have completed your webpage [portrait, biography, and tutorial with images] deposit a copy of your webpage folder in the Drop folder on Yorba

AND

Print your page from the Internet Explorer browser and hand it to me for my clipboard!
